Professional Program Admission

We’re excited that you’re interested in the School of Education & Human Sciences (SOEHS).
Students interested in an SOEHS undergraduate program are eligible for admission as incoming first-year students, incoming transfer students, or current KU students pending they meet certain admission criteria. Please see below for more information.

Incoming first-year students

Incoming first-year students will be admitted directly to the School of Education & Human Sciences if they 1) meet KU's assured admission standards and 2) apply to KU with an SOEHS undergraduate program declared as their major. Assured admission standards are outlined below:
• A 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale, no test scores required or regardless of test score submitted
• An ACT score of at least 21 or an SAT score of at least 1060 plus a GPA of at least 2.0

Incoming transfer students

Incoming transfer students will be admitted directly to the School of Education & Human Sciences if they 1) have a minimum 2.75 KU + Transfer Cumulative GPA and 2) apply to KU with an SOEHS undergraduate program declared as their major.

Current students

Current students will use the Change of School form to declare an SOEHS undergraduate program as their major. Students must have a KU + Transfer Cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 to be eligible for admission.
