Let's embrace your options together.  Transfer students should contact the KU School of Education Advising Center before applying and transferring to KU.  We want to ensure that you are eligible for admission to our professional programs within the KU School of Education.  We also want to help you to complete your Bachelor's degree in a timely manner.

Admission to KU, even as a pre-Education student, does not guarantee admission to the KU School of Education. All admission requirements for KU School of Education programs, including minimum grade point averages, must be completed.

Meeting with Pre-Education Advisors

Make sure to meet with an education advisor before you decide to come to KU. A student may also contact an advisor via the phone or email. However, we always encourage a trip to the campus and the KU School of Education if possible. Schedule your official visit today.

Important Information about your Grade Point Average

It is very important to consult with an an academic advisor about your admissibility before transferring to KU. Please keep in mind that the average GPA for admitted teacher education students is around a 3.3 and the average GPA for admitted Health, Sport and Exercise Science student is around a 3.0.
