Preparing Educators as Leaders

Chris Hepp

Development Director, KU Endowment
Primary office:

Chris’ appointment as development director for the KU School of Education marks his return to campus where he was a member of the KU School of Music faculty before moving to San Francisco with his wife, Anne Johnson (who is a KU alumna herself). After several years as West coast institutional sales director for Steinway & Sons Pianos, Chris was appointed director of development at California State University East Bay and then senior director of development at San Francisco State University (SFSU). While at SFSU, Chris was a member of the development team whose efforts led to the $25 million gift to the College of Liberal and Creative Arts, the largest such gift in the history of that university. Chris attended UCLA and then CU-Boulder where he received his doctor of music arts degree.
