The Gale Sayers Computer Lab is an open-use computer lab located in the Learning
Resource Center. Students, faculty and staff can check e-mail, do homework,
and log on to Blackboard from this lab-it features internet access as well as
programs used frequently by the School of Education.
From this lab, you also have access to Atomic
Learning tutorials that will teach you various software programs like Dreamweaver,
iMovie, Inspiration and a scanner.
Printouts will be charged at 8 cents a page to the student's KU Card. $8 worth
of printouts is automatically added to each student's card at the beginning
of each semester.
Located in rooms 102/103, this computer lab is where computer classes are held for the School of Education. It features both Macintosh computers and PCs (Microsoft, Dell, Compaq). This lab can be reserved through Meeting Room Manager only if a class is not scheduled during that time, and can be reserved as either one whole lab or as two labs-half Mac and half PC. The classroom has one computer for instructors, two LCD projectors on either side of the classroom, and a SmartBoard. For more reservation information please visit our room reservation page.
Located in room 130 Robinson Center, this computer lab has PCs only. Printing costs $.08 per print, and money must be on your KU Card before printing. Paper is supplied. Please call the Help Desk or ask staff on duty for assistance with printing or recharging KU Card.
Most classrooms in JRP and Robinson are mediated and are equipped with a computer, VCR/DVD, and a digital overhead projector. A ceiling-mounted LCD projector casts the images onto a white screen at the front of the classroom.
Room 150 JRP is the Lecture Hall. This room is also equipped with computer, VCR/DVD player, and an "Elmo" to project objects, or even the instructor, on the screen in the room. The room is also equipped with a wireless microphone.

(320,322,420,422,520,620,622,720 JRP) These are smaller rooms that can be reserved for meetings, dissertation presentations, etc. These rooms are
mediated with computer and VCR that can be projected on to the screen in the room from the ceiling mounted projector.

These room are equipped with special video conferencing capability.
Groups, or a class, can conference through video with other groups or classes at other schools or buildings with similar capability.

142 JRP The Science lab is where Science & Math courses are taught and has tables with work surfaces for projects. There are also computers and science technology, such as probes, that can be used with the computers. The room has a mediated cart with a computer,"Elmo", and VCR which can be projected on the screen from a ceiling mounted projector. These conference rooms are located within the Dean's offices administrative wing of the building and can only be scheduled by contacting the Dean's Secretary or the Welcome Center.
