Developing New Generations of Leaders
The School of Education is committed to enhancing and maintaining a diverse and dynamic faculty, staff and student population. A diverse student body strengthens the School by allowing a variety of perspectives to be integral to the School’s programs, policies and practices that more accurately reflect our diverse society and world. The goal the School of Education’s Multicultural Scholars program is to continue to increase our diversity within the professional careers in education, particularly, the health and teaching fields.
As a member of the Multicultural Scholars Program (MSP) you will immediately become part of a community of students who will help make the transition to KU and to the School of Education a smooth and positive one. This program addresses academic, social, and personal aspects of your experience at KU and in the School of Education. As a member of the School of Education’s Multicultural Scholars Program you will also be eligible to receive a scholarship.
When you apply and are accepted into the School of Education’s Multicultural Scholars Program we offer you academic, social and personal support through to graduation. As a junior or senior, you will be expected to serve as a role model and assist newer students to the program.
Financial support is critical to the Multicultural Scholars Programs, and gifts designated for scholarships are especially beneficial.
