Current Students

Within the School of Education, Academic Services is the central information source for School of Education students, faculty and staff. A knowledgeable, responsive staff provides many services. Students are the focal point of Academic Services. Our offices maintain a friendly, professional, student-centered environment. Every inquiry receives a thorough and thoughtful response. Communication, caring, and collaboration are the words that best describe our daily activities. Academic Services employs professional staff and several well-trained student employees. We work to continually improve our processes and practices. Our services may be divided into seven areas of expertise, but we collaborate on many projects.

Academic Programs

Academic Programs contains information about our various undergraduate and graduate programs within the School. Program sheets containing degree requirements for graduation are also in this section.


Undergraduate Advising

Undergraduate Advising is responsible for providing accurate information on undergraduate programs of study. This includes advising admitted students, pre-education students (both transfers and current KU students), and prospective students, providing preliminary transcript analysis, and working with new student orientation programs.


Edwards Campus

The KU Edwards Campus accommodates many of the location and scheduling needs of our students. The School of Education offers graduate degree programs in teaching and leadership, special education, psychology and research in education, and the sport and exercise sciences through the KU.


Forms and Petitions

Forms and Petitions contains information regarding add/drop, change of school, change of program, course repeats, graduation check, the Universal Petition, transcript requests, transcript evaluation, admissions, transfer credit, application for degree (AFD) and more.


Field Experiences

Field Experiences contains information for student teaching, internships and graduate practicum experiences that will help you understand how to submit your placement request and make the most of your field experience.


Licensure

Licensure contains information about subject exams, licensure programs, graduate licensure programs, transcript evaluations, applying for out-of-state licensure, educational testing services, license renewal, timelines and more.


Multicultural Scholars Program

The Multicultural Scholars Program contains information about admission and application criteria, mentoring, cultural events, activities, tutoring and contact information.


School of Education Student Organization (SESO)

The School of Education Student Organization (SESO) conducts group discussions, service activities, and informative presentations.


Resources for Students

Resources for students contains web site links to many resources that students will need during their academic career.


Welcome Center

The Welcome Center is responsible for welcoming all visitors to the School of Education, serving as a general information point, and as the primary reference for offices and services within the School of Education.
