Profile

A former teacher of students with emotional/behavioral disorders, Juliet Hart earned her doctorate degree in Special Education and TESOL at the University of Miami in 2003. Since that time she has been an Assistant Professor of Special Education at the College of William and Mary, and is a visiting assistant professor in Special Education at the University of Kansas this year. Her primary research interests include language, literacy, and multicultural issues in special education, child psychopathology, and classroom adaptations/strategies for students with disabilities in inclusive settings. She has been the recipient of two grants awarded by William & Mary and has submitted an IES grant proposal this summer in the amount of $500,000. Hart’s most recent work includes articles on a variety of special education and diversity topics that have recently or will be published in journals including Intervention in School and Clinic, Remedial and Special Education and Teacher’s College Record.
