This program is for: Undergraduate Teacher Education students.

Program Description

Health & Physical EducationThe School of Education offers a program that leads to teacher licensure, PK-12, in health & physical education. This program is comprised of three major parts: General Education (requirements completed primarily in the first two years), Major (content areas in which students are specializing), and Professional Education (course work focusing on students as learners and ability to communicate knowledge effectively). The health & physical education program is noncompetitive and the number of admissions is open. Please download the appropriate health & physical education program sheet for more information on requirements.

  • Requirements: (Pre Block 65-66 hrs Total) Cumulative GPA (includes all transfer hours) for admission must be at least 2.50. Students must have a cumulative gpa of 2.75 to student teach. Fifty (50) hours minimum required for admission.
