What is SESO?

School of Education Student Organization is a group of students from the University of Kansas who are committed to supporting and improving our program. They represent the student body with concerns and provide opportunities for involvement within the school and the community. Every education major is welcome and encouraged to be a part of SESO!

Everyone is welcome, SESO is not on a member's only basis.

What can I be doing right now?

Check out the SESO board in the Welcome Center (JRP 208) for volunteer opportunities. There are sign-up sheets available in the Learning Resource Center and the Welcome Center too.

Why should I join?

SESO provides valuable connections for your education career. You’ll meet faculty, students, and teachers that have extensive knowledge of the program here at KU and who know what teaching is like when you get out there. The volunteer opportunities are great for gaining experience, and it looks good on a resume. Additionally, if you aren’t already in the School of Education, participating in SESO looks fantastic on your application.
