The policy studies concentration permits students to define a program of studies focusing on educational policy, utilizing courses in educational administration, higher education and the historical, philosophical and social foundations of education. Typically, such programs entail a combination of courses in two of these areas, although it is possible to include all three. Graduate committees in this area must include faculty members from the various fields represented in each student's program. This concentration is interdisciplinary in orientation, and permits students considerable flexibility in focusing on various aspects of educational policy.
Faculty members in Educational Administration, Higher Education,
and Historical, Philosophical and Social Foundations of Education

Students in the Policy Studies Concentration are urged to take
a minor in a relevant department in the College of Liberal Arts
