In addition to the School of Education's five year teacher education program, the Graduate Licensure Program or the Transition to Teaching Program will help you take your science, mathematics or foreign language undergraduate degree and transform it into a teaching licensure.
Graduate Admissions to the University of Kansas School of Education, Curriculum and Teaching is an online process at the following link: https://www.applyweb.com/apply/ukansg. Perhaps CollegeNet's ease of use is its most important characteristic, especially with access to the Activity Log, a service which will help you locate your application in its journey.
The process begins simply enough when you establish your account, fill out the application and make your corrections. Application fees can be paid online for greater ease and savings, but you may also download paper applications if you would prefer. Support documentation must be sent directly to departments, with the exception of one official transcripts from each college or university attended--these should go to GAPC, located at 313 Strong Hall, Lawrence Kansas, 66045-3101.
NOTE: Students initially admitted in the provisional (pre-aspirant) category must submit a pre-planned 12 hour Doctoral Provisional Program in Curriculum and Instruction (PDF) at the post-master’s level at the time of admission approved by the proposed graduate advisor.
Please visit the C&T programs section to find additional materials and contact the department for more information.
Once all support documentation has been received, the Department's graduate admissions committee will meet to make selections. All applicants are notified of their status following application deadline.
If you have questions or challenges with the online application process, you may call (785) 864-3140 or email GAPC directly gradadmin@ku.edu.
